About the event
The spring 2022 Humanities Conversations panel, entitled "Women, Gender, and the Family," features presentations by 3 UM faculty who have received funding for their research from the UM Humanities Institute, including:
- Dr. Anya Jabour, Regents Professor, History: "Trailblazer: How Katharine Bement Davis Promoted Women's Equality in the Workplace, at the Polls, and in the Bedroom
- Dr. Laurie Walker, Associate Professor, School of Social Work: “Untold Homesteader Stories: A Family in the Shadow of Glacier National Park in the Reservation Era”
- Dr. Erin Costello Wecker, Associate Professor of English and Irish Studies and Director of Composition: “The Persistent Agitator: Kate Kennedy’s Mission for Gender Pay Parity and Protection from Arbitrary Demotion and Dismissal”
